Thousand & One Nights: 114th Night

Queen Shahrazad is the frame story teller. Her sister Dinarzad is also present. Also the King Shahriar.
The present story was told originally by an Egyptian trader to the king of China.
Title of the story: THE YOUNG MAN WITH SEVERED HAND AND THE GIRL - 5

When the girl threw the piece of fabric back into the shop and turned to go, the young man felt as if his soul was going with her, and cried out to her, "For God's sake, lady, do me a favour and come back." She turned back, saying with a smile, "I am coming back for your sake," and sat in the shop facing the young man.
The young man asked Badr al-Din, "Sir what was the price we set for this piece of fabric?"
"One thousand and two hundred dirhams," came the reply.
The young man asked Badr al-Din to give him a piece of paper, and said to Badr al-Din, "I will give you one hundred dirhams as a profit for it, and write to you a discharge." Then he wrote the discharge, took the piece of fabric and gave it to the lady.
"Take it, my lady, and if you wish, bring me the money next market day, or better yet, accept it as a present from me."
She replied, "May God reward you a larger share of riches and a longer life than mine."
"My lady, this piece of fabric is yours, and only let me see your face," said the young man. She turned her head towards him, lifted her veil, and looked into his eyes. The young man lost his senses. She let down the veil, took the piece of fabric, and said, "I will miss you," and departed. The young man remained in the shop till afternoon prayer, lost in another world.
"She is a lady of wealth, the daughter of a prince who died and left her a great fortune," said Badr al-Din. The young man took leave of Badr al-Din, went to caravanserai, still thinking of a pair of black eyes. When they set supper before him, he could not eat. When he lay down, he could not sleep, and lay awake till the dawn. Then he rose, changed his clothes and hurried to the shop of Badr al-Din.
The break of dawn.
