Marco Polo's Voyage to Indian Seas: 13: Kingdom of Dagroian [1]

The kingdom has a language of its own.  The people are very savage.  They are subject to a king owning supremacy of the great Khan. They are following a bad custom:-

When a man falls sick, his relations send for the magicians, and inquire whether he will survive.  The magicians by their enchantments and idols claim to know whether he will survive or not. If they profess that the sick man will not survive, his friends and relations send for persons to see that he is finished at the earliest.  They come and place something over his mouth, by which he is suffocated.  Then they cook the body and all his kins come and eat the flesh, taking care not leave the smallest portion, which they believe breed worms, and thus seriously afflict the soul of the deceased.  They next collect the bones, and place them in large beautiful chest, which they carry to the caverns in the mountains, beyond the reach of wild beasts.  When they capture any men belonging to another country, who cannot redeem himself by paying money, they kill him and eat him
in this manner.

I will now tell you something of Lambri.
